What are the variables? (RX, cost, who is supplying each material, ect.)

Most likely I would deal with poly, because I mostly deal with Essilor and I get a better deal on Airwear Aspheric than I do Trivex.

I'd go with Trivex, better optics.

Poly would be thinner than Trivex but if you are a Spectralite person (which is a mid index like Trivex) I would go with the Trivex. I prefer Trivex myself because I see better out of it but my RX is not quite as strong so thickness is not an issue for me

Aspheric 1.0 trivex would do very nicely. You're spoiled with Spectralite optics.

Question is will he or she have troubles with the optix. I have worn Cr-39, Trivex, 1.56, 1.6, 1.67, and Poly (glass, but that was plano sunglasses over contacts) and I cannot tell the difference. I am at 6 diopters. I also have not had troubles with my clients and have one found one client in the last four years who had trouble with the chromatic abbrevations.

To me it is a numbers game.

Edit - For other posters - If optics is really a problem then cr-39 would be the best bet

What about "Trinity" it's a Trivex material lens made double aspheric ( aspheric curves in two meridians ) it's from Augen lens company.

Also I like to know who puts Crizal on Trivex?

Of course you can put anti-reflective coatings on Trivex, with the noatable exception that Essilor's Crizal and Crizal Alize are not available on Trivex. However, HOYA's Super HiVision, with approximately twice the Bayer Abrasion rating of Alize, is available, as are Zeiss coatings, and many generic coatings.

We started carrying Trinity about 3 months ago and have had many success stories come back from customers. We also have had no problem applying our own deluxe hardcoated A/R. For more info on Augen and Trinity. Look at augenusa.com and augenoptics.com
