Cheaper Ar?

In the last few month I had seen a few companies puting AR on the demo lenses in their frames. The surprising part is they are not high end frames, not even mid priced range. Its single digit priced ones!
Did AR become so inexpensive in China?
Soon all the demos will be with AR?

In AR coatings the only item that is expensive is the coating machine. These machine are no more just European made. The Korean are building them presently and so do the Chinese. The prices of those machines are way below the European ones, plus they now come with 1.7 meter chambers that can hold a few hundred pairs per cycle.

Why do you think the big corporations make such a hype? They know that somebody will hit the market soon equipped with machinery from the far east and low low prices.
