Check out DAC Vision, they have what you need. www. dacvision.com or 1-800-800-1550
Engrave them by hand.
Have a stamp made. Apply some wax on the spot you want and punch through with the stamp. Apply some "Hydrofluoric acid" wait a few minutes and wash off.Originally Posted by slaboff
This will edge you mark into the lens surface.
Be very careful with the acid as it is a very nasty item.

Don't forget to get registered and approve by OSHA.
I'm not sure how things work in other states, but am pretty sure OSHA does not involve itself with actual trademark registration. My understanding is that OSHA simply "polices" the rules that are set forth in the ANSI Z87.1 standard, so make sure you first obtain a copy of this standard! The standard will guide you in thickness and testing requirements. It will also dictate what types of engravings are necessary for different lenses . . .ie: special purpose, variable tint, etc. You might also find that the 2003 standard also addresses high-velocity testing which you must also familiarize yourself with. You may also run into the necessity to "certify" your testing(s) for the FDA. There is alot involved in understanding and complying to the ANSI Z87 standard, which I would not advise going into lightly. GL
Colts Laboratories website may be able to provide you with additional information.
thanks, I did already check into the new standards and there is a new thickness standard for poly and a new symbol to show compliance with the new standard... i appreciate all the advise everyoneOriginally Posted by stargazer
