    ARC Answered, Now What Frame?

Ok, will spring for a new set of lenses, but now can anyone point to a frame that will work best for me. My current frame is at least 10 years old, titanium flexon type with a nice oval shape so I get good progressive bifocal from distance to reading. This also lets me do a lot of computer work in the mid-range. Really need a new frame as the 10 year old one is kinda shot. The current lense opening is 48mm wide and 42mm high with a bridge opening of 18mm. I really need the small bridge and nice depth top to bottom.

So with this prescription: -12.00 -0.50x127, -10.75 -0.50x175 /+1.25 which is quite thick even in high index, the optician is having a hard time finding me a frame with this same depth and bridge.

    Any ideas? Thanks, Tom

Small, round, plastic, frames with your eyes positioned in the centre (horizontally) of the frame; would be the ideal choice. I would avoid skull temples (straight back), the weight of the lens can pull the frame off your face. If you do not want round or plastic frames, then your eyes MUST be positioned in horizontally in the centre of the frame, this can ensure that the lens has no extra thickness caused from decentring (moving the lens to line up with your pupils when manufacturing).
