Trying to help a friend

Here's his problem:

I used to wear contacts in Vegas and they fit fine. I wore them everyday. I then came out to Atlanta, still wore them every day. I had them for 5 years. When I noticed one had a small chunk taken out of the corner I decided it might be time to get new ones. 4 years later, 3 sets of contacts, I haven't found any that don't move around on my eyes or make my eyes burn after 10-15 minutes. My doctor told me I either have some sort of bacterial infection or I just can't wear contacts in this climate. WTF?

Any advice?

BTW, can anyone reccomend a really good optician in Columbia, SC.

If you have a contact lens with corners, you have a problem. If you have a "Doctor" that can't identify a bacteriological infection and treat it, you have a problem.

Go to Emory Unversity's Eye Department, they are pretty sharp.

I did not think that contact lens has to be round!?
I like everything with angles (modern design).

BTW did you fit the new Biomedics lens that they are so proud of?
