Portland Oregon Opticians Wages

I have a question about Portland, Oregon optician wages. I live in Washington which has a state license requirement but I would like to relocate to Portland. I am ABOC, NCLEC, have an AAS in Opticianry from Seattle Central C.C. (graduated in June), and passed my Washington State Boards.
I have about 2 years experience in the field.
Can anyone give me a range of what to expect?

I am not sure about Portland wages except I am sure they will not be as high as you may have been led to believe by the school. It always comes down to experience in the end. Why not work in Vancouver (you are licensed after all) and live in Portland? Your best gauge is the ads and what people are telling you. Check out and apply to jobs on both sides of the river. Good luck on the job hunt. By the way, keep coming back here. It is an awesome source of info. :cheers:
