It is by universal misunderstanding that all agree. For if, by ill luck, people understood each other, they would never agree.

Can also be welded (but only with a rod of the same solid or aloy) in an argon bubble. Jerry Huang can do this.

Steve, jerry Huang did write a thread here about a year ago i think, on how you could repair titanium, any way you can pick that up and repost it here. I believe it contained instructions on how to build the whole unit that you would need
It only took a few seconds to find this with OptiBoard's search function:

Titanium can be silver soldered. We send our patient to a jeweler for repair.
You are incorrect. No way you can silver solder titanium.
We repaired titanium before using silver solder. Also...this is the way our Frame Sales Reps. have told us to repair them. Sorry if you haven't had any luck repairing them.
A friend of mine has a laser he got in Japan that does a fine job.
Yup, we have a local jeweller who can do it, in fact since we found him a couple of years ago, I don't bother with any solders or drill outs at all, yes it's laziness, but he is much better at it than I ever was. We've given him loads of old metal frames, broken, used, and pads and screws and tips and butts etc so he can work....... and he is cheap.
