  • Volunteers wanted for a company initiated product review

Chris Ryser has posted the following message which I have moved to this forum. He has not specified what a reasonable amount of members is but my guess is that no more than four or five.Give it a shot!

OMS Opto-Chemicals invites a reasonabale amount of members to review a new product. Samples will be provided. Call 800-451-6637.

    DRILLSEAL
One drop of the product into rimless mount screwhole on Polycarbonate lenses right after drilling will prevent cracking and crazing of lenses. Therefore it will eliminate many or most re-dos on warranty.

question?, why does it have to be right after drilling, or what is the definition in this scenario of right after, i am not associated with Bill Clinton.

answer! because prevention has to be done before the fact, After the fact it is too late and you replace the lenses. I am not associated with G.W.Bush

Chris, what i really meant is your concern is that the application of the drip stuff is done prior to the mounting, you could drill it, leave it for three days, then apply the drip and then mount and assemble, correct, or is it more imperative that said application be done immediatley after drilling said holes wether mounted or not

Harry, actually it make no difference at which point you apply it, You can fuse tiny cracks at any time, but I would think if it would be done right after drilling, you would prevent any small crack from spreading once you apply the pressure on the lens which occurs when you tighten the screws.
