Looking for a brand of contacts I wore many years ago

I've got a question that I don't expect anyone will really be able to answer, but I'm going to throw it out here just in case.

15 years ago I was fitted with yearly replacement daily-wear soft toric lenses. I'd never worn contacts before and so I didn't realize just how remarkable my experience with them was. To make a long story short, I could wear them all day long with little or no discomfort and my vision was something like 20/10 (razor sharp edges on everything).

I'm trying to figure out what the brand was that I was wearing. They cost me about 400 dollars at the time and the only thing I know about them other than that is the vials they came in had a yellow and white label on them. I'm trying to find them again, or whatever has replaced them, because I've never had contact lenses that worked anywhere near as well as they did.

I'm only asking this because this forum is filled with optometrists. I wouldn't expect contact lens wearers to have any idea what these were, but you guys might.

    Thanks :)

Some Ciba Products had yellow and white labels but you were grossly over charged if they were $ 400.00.

You mean I could have gotten toric lenses for significantly less in 1989?

    Thanks for the info :)

I think the Ciba Torisoft was a green label, not yellow. The Optima T was a black and gold label, I believe. Yellow? Possibly the Durasoft Optifit Toric. It was the color of this smiley:). Used to fit a ton of them at Ye Olde Sears Optical in the early 90's. Was a decent lens, comfortable, but nothing special. You probably just got lucky!:D
