Had a new client today, wearing a nice pair of sillhouettes, wanted another pair
so I asked him why he did not go back to his original optician, but had come to us.his answer really surprised me, turns out he was really pi*** off because after spending £500 on a pair of spectacles his optician then charged him an extra £3.00 for a cleaning spray.
he had mentioned this to a work colleague who was a client of ours, who had told him we had given him a free spray when he bought his specs from us.
so he did not mind spending all that money on specs but felt he was being clipped by being charged for the spray.
Is it routine precedure to charge for sprays and cloths or do any of you do what I do and chuck a free one in when the client has spent a decent amount on specs?
needless to say I told him he would be most welcome to a free spray when he picked his specs up
