I think these machines already exist in Japan and they are not very popular. There is nothing that can account for a human touch. Even online retailers have to have people that answer the phone.
I totally agree. We all want to sell to anybody with money, but in the long run, better to target repeat customers. That loyalty comes with filling a niche. I concentrate on high end now. I sell less...
probably comparable quality, but warby has a big leg up on the styling.
Are you kidding? Good quality frames? They claim they come from the same factories as Ray Ban China but they are leagues apart.
I do agree that people need a more positive outlook. Online...
thank you both for the explanation.
The page is no longer available. Could you please tell me what the second column determines? Is it ranking the popularity of the website? Thanks.
I am kind of torn whether Americans want quality. From the glasses I have seen sold online, they are NOT quality eye wear. All of those glasses are equal to five dollars and below wholesale. When...
You have the option of opting out of measuring the PD. I charge $60 for a PD measurement. Not bad. Most people say forget it. I say, "No problem, see ya."
But, I understand where you are coming...
I have friends that advertised with yelp and they did not get that much business from them. They also used groupon and it was way better results.
Empty threat.
If someone comes in looking for a PD measurement then charge a fee. If they want an adjustment of their glasses not made by you then charge. People think these services should be free to promote...
i bet.
the thing with these rubber frames is that is they are not terribly stylish. the ones for ray ban are not too bad. you cannot beat the shaping you get from acetate and metal frames.
It was new to me. I have not seen many of the rubber made frames before. I recently have been selling the maui jim Cat III. I love them.
Is propionate a fancy word for "rubber" in lux speak?
accidental double post
Thank you for the reply.
The material appears very durable. Good to know it is allergy free as well.
The manufacturing process would make these frames dirt cheap it seems. Way cheaper than...
Hi guys,
I noticed that some frame companies like Ray Ban and Maui Jim are making sun glass frames made of rubber?
Can someone please explain the process in which the rubber is solidified?
...
I am not sure on the other Lux frames but I do not think that the Ray Bans are not poor quality. They are not bad even though they moved their operation to China.
It is interesting that Italy is...
I sell most high end and middle end frames and I noticed a precipitous drop in the quality of eye wear coming from Italy. The ones that stand out are the poor quality Channel and Prada acetate...
there seems to he a hierarchy amongst MDs as well. my friend is a surgeon and he puts down general MDs all the time. it is worst if they are DOs. oh well, i am sure every profession has their hang...
It is an interesting point.
I feel the same way about ODs.
I do concur that the minimum level of education has something to do with it. But imagine if the optician gets the minimum level and...
thanks for sharing your collection. very interesting group of eye wear you have there.
seems like vertical integration is charging forward for vsp
thanks guys.
I was thinking of selling them at my store but I'm not sure of the quality. The prices seem reasonable and the styles aren't bad at all.
Any experience is appreciated.
Thank you.
