There are plenty of highly qualified opticians that work for large chains. But you are most likely rare. More often than not chains hire people with little or no experience. Some take to the field...
Selling machine!!
I just can't get that excited about progressives anymore. We had a frame rep that swore up and down that all she could wear was the latest and greatest in lens design. She tried the 'older' designs...
YEAH!!!!! Now I'm motivated to finish mine!!! It's half written already (has been for two years now :p) CONGRATS! CONGRATS! CONGRATS!
Please post you paper or give us the topic!!
Consider thickness as well. As the lens gets thicker the curves need to be compensated because the power changes slightly. For a plus lens the thickness change from center to edge could create a...
See that's how I look at it to.
OK I work for an MD practice that has two locations. Every once in a while I'll call the other optician to see how busy they have been. I say 'how much have you sold this month?' and she'll say...
Try POLYCORE USA.
Yeah, while studying my optical library easily expanded by 30 - 40 books! Of course I went a little overboard!

So the other day I over heard one of our opticians talking about how A/R coatings have improved from earlier methods when they just sprayed it on. Now I have heard of spin cast A/R coatings and have...
Dude who cares! I'm thrilled by it's content and the AO Technical reports that he has there are priceless! He's a lens guy not a web designer.
Nice!

I will send you pictures of money for the whole set!
I think Jacqui is right. Maybe you could put them in a round seg.
That is pretty cool!
Use the formula in the paper I posted. It allows you to manipulate several aspects that control image size. Assume it's on a 6 base with 2mm center thickness. I think of all formulas this one can be...
