What exactly is it about a lense that decreases minification/magnification?

Is it aspheric design?
Is it lense form?
Is it high index?

I have 2 pairs, one aspheric 1.74 and one best-form...

Doesn't asphericity fix all of the visual errors introduced by the flatter lens form? :D

as I said earlier, both the CR39 and the 1.67 are best form spherical - the only real visible difference is that the CR39 has thinner edges.

With such a strong rx, my advice, for what its worth, would be to pick a better material with a higher abbe value. I've had no end of problems with these types of lenses because of chromatic...

I agree entirely Dave ... 1.67 is the refractive index of the material and 1.67 will always = 1.67 ... unless the units change of course :D
