Definately sounds like a comfort ormex alright. However there is a new varilux lens hitting the market soon called the Gx. This will just have an x as a logo.

ECCA's MyFocal private label is an Essilor design from about '05 which is similar to the Liberty I hear.
Luxottica's new private label lens is also an Essilor design but a bit newer from around '07.

To be fair to Essilor yes they have grown production in Thailand, Phillippines, China, Brasil, Peurto Rico and Mexico but they have kept existing production at their U.S., France and Ireland plants...
