I do a LOT of kids, .... try marchon and clearvision primarily for the eye size you need. marchon has SOME small flexons... but I don't think smaller than a 39 eye. babies tend to get them off and...

Perhaps I am being too simplistic, but... I have found that the Definity 3 has been my go to lens especially with my older patients as the extremely wide intermediate seems to help in everyday...
Hilco has some excellent products and I like them, however I am literally in the next town over from their original site... and will admit they have excellent but costly tools.... and if you can get...
I do a lot in pediatric dispensing... are you really an ophthalmologist, or do work for an ophthalmologist? Most ophthalmologists who prescribe for infants and toddlers have a secondary specialty...
for the thread about the 33 pd, from the lab that sent that pd in a 54? eye frame. I posted reply, but it lools as if it didn't 'take'.
and that was not a monocular pd reading 33 od and 31.5 os?...
I did the first time..... sorry, getting used to the format. dropped me out of the reply a couple of times.
Yes that is the name of the pal, but I was referring to the design varilux used in the bottom of the lens. I had several patients in that lens, they all loved them, but they are no more.... they did...
Use and trust your tools, that is a good idea.. but know when to adapt them to your patient needs. as a 'seasoned' tech, take the advice and adapt it to your needs or ignore it as you choose......
too bad varilux discontinued their occupational PAL.... had a 3/4 power up top and a pre-comfort pal in the bottom... what was that called? started with an 'I'... Oh yes, Infinity.
they couldn't...
acetone DOES work, but your technique needs to finish with a moleskin type fabric to quickly rub back and forth to restore the luster.
Careful with acetone. goes right to your liver... don't be...
the only other thing I do is to flex them so that the middle hits the lens first and press on the lens while holding the edges.... and you are making sure the carrier lens is very wet and the Fresnel...
Ever tried a round toothpick? has worked for me and doesn't easily scratch anything other than gums. works for a lot of things.
