Hello! I used this material the most to study for my ABO and found it very helpful! However, I found having multiple resources on hand helped a lot. I have a few books that I used and I pulled from...
I took my ABO November 21st and got an instant "passed," I also received an email a week afterwards that said Congratulations on passing from them as well, stating that my wall certification was...
If you haven't already bought it, the System for Ophthalmic Dispensing 3rd edition is a great book to have on hand. Not much for the medical side of things but I've found it very helpful in my...
Thank you! That is helpful!
Hi all! Hoping to get some feedback on whether or not you guys do any follow up care with patients other than them coming in for occasional adjustments, after they've purchased glasses. We are...
We put our patients in the Shamir Autograph III fixed 15, when they experience having to lift glasses up for best reading clarity. We have found the ADD is pushed in sooner so they have more room to...

I have lived in Skagit Valley my whole life and can't see myself anywhere else. Its a beautiful place to live.
I also fit by lifestyle and Rx...BUT we have patients that come in and are pretty set on staying in the same progressive and if we CAN fit them in their current progressive we will. But sometimes we...

Thank you all SO much for your feedback. I was looking for honest opinions or reviews and I definitely got them.
I've been hearing a lot of talk about machines that take measurements,(pd, seg ht, etc) as opposed to doing them by hand/pupilometer(spl?). What are your guys' opinions on machine vs old fashioned? I...
I would get more mirrors. We have little mirrors and a few larger ones throughout our optical shop so that when people are looking, it doesn't take them longer than 10 seconds to see how they look.
I believe that's a marking for a Hoya lens. what other engravings are there? usually it accompanies the other usual engravings on the lens. I've found that on almost all of Hoya's progressive lenses....
we have patients ALL the time wish that we did appointments for frame selects or even a simple adjustment. it just doesn't work. we have so many people that walk in and end up buying glasses that...

Hey everyone!
I am curious if anyone has sold this lens and what kind of feedback you've been getting from patients?

We just recently had a theft in our office and I am curious what you do in those situations. What have some of you done as far as reports for your own records? Do you record wholesale or retail costs...
What about offering to give them their PD measurements, (unless it really isn't something your office does) but making it clear that it isn't part of an exam, and that they need to sit and have a...
