Hey Everyone,
I've been out to eyecare for several years and when I exited I removed my website, thelensguru.com, which featured a searchable database of PALs. I am considering publishing it again...
I lived in Rochester the first 50 years of my life and always told people "miracles happen here every day". This one is really cool!
Yes.
I work in an Ophthalmology practice. Since our docs are MDs, with a routine exam patients are able to use their medical insurance to pay for the medical part of the exam, paying whatever their copay...
Some zyls have an annoyingly large block of zyl that the hinge is mounted onto that come right to the very edge of the of the lens, resting against the hide-a-bevel. The higher the minus, the more...
I agree with Robert. We see a lot of this and I find that with differences of 2.00D or less, adaptation is possible although the greater the difference the less likely. A contact lens, at least for...
This year's review will mark my 5th anniversary of my last raise....I've been doing it all wrong!!
This frame is a 43eye but fits bigger than you'd expect. It's got black temples but is really cool.

1.67 indicates high minus. I would bet the rim has a deeper groove than the bevel of the lens, allowing the hide-a-bevel to rest on the back edge of the rim instead of seating deep into the groove....
You'll have to identify the complaint, I don't see one in this thread...yet.
Actually, there is a tax on frame and lenses. We pay it every day, we just don't collect it. In California, materials are taxed at the wholesale level, not retail. We don't 'charge' patients sales...
Vistakon has a really nice CL lookup; amazingly it is for all products, not just theirs.

...also coming soon to TheLensGuru.com, a complete CL list...
It's Rodenstock; no one cares.
Pictures are useless, she MUST bring them in for you to see. It's amazing how many times someone has called complaining that their lenses 'just don't change' and when I have them bring them in and...
Shamir. It has nothing to do with loyalty - I get nothing from them. Their products work GREAT!
I believe you are confusing 'optician' with 'someone that sells glasses'.
How about "refracted" instead of "fractured"? Since you're talking readers, maybe the suggestion was to get a refraction and order prescription lenses rather than OTC readers. Just a thought.
If its only the cable portion of the temple that's useless maybe you could try Hilco's add-on cables. They're simple to attach and the couple I've done worked out great.
Umm.....
So your friend's Aunt has discovered The PAL Holy Grail? We gotta know what it is!
I've owned 2 Oakley metal frames. Nothing on either will EVER wear out because they both hold the distinction of being the most uncomfortable eyewear I've ever worn. They live in "the drawer".
We're a large OMD practice. Recent conversations have revealed that the starting wage for the front desk personnel exceed our new starting pay for opticians. Wow. And Ouch.
No. Physio has the PAL design molded onto the front with the backside being freeform generated. The Auto3 is a full-backside freeform which means the PAL design, Rx and any customization/optimization...
Has anyone checked to see if this new policy has affected the price of Vistakon lenses with Coastillor, 1800 etc?
OK, you've piqued my curiousity; what animal did you say you would like to be? And what position did you not get?
