I have 8 months to grow it out.
Hey, dont they do an optical olympics or something like that at that conference?
And if he should beat Chris that I would back Santini based on the fact that I do respect all of his posts even if I disagree.
Yeah but on that one, you'd have to let them split the events since they're both practicing opticians, and Barry doesn't do contacts. It might get rough for him there. How bout we throw in some hand-calc'd surface write ups? RGP fittings? I think I'd take that bet too.
I suggest UV meters at twenty paces:ninja:. Rrrrrrumble in the Dispensary!
My bad. I knew you had it for licensing requirements, but I thought you had posted somewhere to the effect that you had a partner that did contacts exclusively and you did the glasses exclusively. Can't be underestimating Barry. Now I may have to reevaluate that wager.
One of the fellows I went to school with IN NY runs his own CL business in my office. He is considered one of the preeminent CL fitters in the country.
I, on the otherhand, haven't seriously fit CLs in years. I provide b/u when Ralph Tisdale, the fitter, is off or not in town.

I would need to be handicapped for:
1. *any* type of Calcs
2. CL's
3. Surfacing Qs
4. Etc.
Don't know how I'd fare, seriously.
However, if there are events for fitting, adjusting, repairs and general eyewear "sherlocking", I'd be glad to spot a few points to any challengers.
Lab work too. Anything in the shop.

I'll pop for the embroidered boxing shorts.
I believe I threw him under the bus. Take it as a compliment.
I am willing to put my money where my mouth is, include calcs, include RGP's, include custom shop work, etc. Amazingly, if you don't agree with me then I must be less skilled, if I am younger I must be less skilled. I enjoy Barry's posts as well, but feel fairly confident I could take him in a challenge as well, throw Wes in as well. What would be the worst that can happen I lose and learn new skills and meet better opticians or I win and they learn new skills and meet a better optician.
Are you sure now? There might be one station where we have you guys hand drill a Silhouette with one hand tied behind your back. Oh and four shots of Tequila before it starts.
Nothing to add, just wanted to get to 200 posts
Why wouldn't you bet on yourself? I enjoy your posts as well, but push come to shove in a contest one man should be left standing, why wouldn't you want it to be you?
Interesting I think I would pay to be in that contest, I prefer patron silver.
Whatever happened to Win-Win- there is ALWAYS another way to solve a problem. PS if you are serious about becoming a silver supporter we will gladly welcome you and thank you for the support which makes this site available to you.

Hey I don't volunteer for shoving matches! But I'll bet on them. Like Sumo.
Proverbs 27:2,- "Let another man praise thee, and not thine own mouth; a stranger, and not thine own lips."
Let the contest begin!!!!!!!!!!!
