Realizing the more steps involved the more a pain, I recreated the Sloan fonts and turned my images into fonts as well which significantly reduces the size. I also base 64 encoded the one image I had to reduce the package an additional file. The total package is almost 80% smaller then the original and only requires the one download with a version of my font included.
The font is not FREE, it can be used in a commercial setting. I prefer no other distribution outside of Optiboard without permission and it cannot be packaged into any other application without express consent.

Where were you before I installed Ipads in my walls and bought ipod touches to control them through bluetooth?
This would have been much cheaper to implement.
Sorry bro wish I knew I had been sitting on this for some time but the need came up recently in our office so I polished it off. That's an interesting idea controlling with a touch enabled device. I have been using an infrared usb dongle, you just gave me an idea.
Use an android tablet and cast it to a chromecast tv dongle connected to a flat screen. I'll have to whip up another version. I have one now on a raspberry pi that boots straight to a modified version of linux and chromium that is completely chromeless so the VA chart is displayed and nothing else.
