Optical Websites are on a downward trend in popularity ..............................

I have made an optical website listing over the years after it was suggested on OptiBoard some 10 years ago.

There are now close to 1,000 sites listed. Now over the Christmas holidays I have started to update it again.

One thing that has been bothering me is that even the most successful sites, have taken big dips in popularity ranking (Alexa).

First I thought it would be because of the USA elections, but they have continued the downtrend after it was all over, all of course with some exceptions.

Even the big online optical retail sites did loose up to 20% or even more.

I am still wondering what could be the reason.
