Why I left Polycore

Rate this Entry
After several months of working for Polycore I kinda felt that this job was not for me. First of all I had been in contact with the folks at the Reno offices for over a year discussing this position. During that time the job had changed. Of course it had to. Alot happens in a year. In that time the general description of the position had evolved. The bad part was I really didn't know about this. I eventually was turned into a rep. When I first heard about the postion I didn't feel that the position was for a rep.

Also I really missed my family. It KILLED my to hear my two little girls in the background when I called my wife. When I first landed in Reno I called my wife from the airport and almost broke down in tears because I missed them so much.

When I took into consideration how much I missed my family and how the job was not quite what I thought it would be and combined that with the fact that I had a fear of flying that was pretty new to me (and I would be doing this several times a month) I knew I couldn't stay.

I had worked part time at my old job when I was home. I knew that my boss would soon start to look for my replacement. I decided that I wanted to go back. My boss was nice enough to take me back.

Just in case your wondering what my thoughts on Polycore are I'll tell you. It's a great company!! Good products! and they really do care about what you think!!! This was something I thought was amazing! They will take good care of you and provide superior quality. In fact every lens that has passed through the Reno factory has been inspected, every one!!

They are still testing the waters in some respects but keep an eye on them. If they do work out a few bugs and keep the focus they have now they will be a great company to work with!!!
