OPTIDONN

One of my last trips was one of my worst. I spent a week in Iowa and everything that could go wrong did go wrong!

I got there with the impression that I would get a list of places to visit from a local lab. I was there for a whole day before a list arrived. When I recieved the list it was anything but accurate. Some of these places were no longer in business and others I just could not find! I spent days driving in the snow trying to figure out where the hell I was going. Polycore really did think ahead. They gave us lap tops that could connect to a satellite so we could get the internet any where. This saved my butt!! If I was lost I would pull over to the side of the road pop open the lap top and hit mapquest! Lets just say that with the amount of driving I did I still know all the major roads around Des Moines.

One funny thing about this trip was my first phone call to Fezz. It was the evening before I had to leave for home. It was a rough week so I felt I deserved a few beers. Well I had a few and called Harry Chiling, Ziggy (Paul King) and I think even the Dude and Lensgrinder. About 12 beers later I'm emailing Fezz. By about the 16th beer he gives me his number. I guess he had a few as well and neither he nor I remember the details of that conversation. But knowing Fezz it was not good!:p
