End of the week for me and time to look back at the week that has gone. Time to crack open a beer and look to the week ahead! Not much happened this week.

About a month ago I mentioned to my boss that I would like to take all the technical information that I learned and apply it to my current job. I came up with a tiered system at work (good, better, best) with our current lens supplier (Signet Armorlite) and trained our Optometrist and Opticians about the benefits of advanced lens designs and A/R coatings. It sounds a little silly but we never pushed advanced lens designs or A/R.

After our owner let me have at our staff our averge PAL sale was $160 over our origional sale price!! So I thought that maybe others could benefit from from my ideas. I called up a Dr. I used to work for and mentioned that I wanted to try my hand at consulting. He was hesitant but decided to go for it at no charge. I had an idea that I could do my consulting with out traveling and reduce the cost dramatically. I asked hime several questions over the phone. I came up with a plan and we got it in the works. I worked with him for a few weeks to make sure his goals were met. He contacted me the other day to report a dramatic increase in sales!!

I decided to take the plunge! My consultant idea seems to be working! (I've done a little work with some other offices with great success) For a small fee (this fee can be easily be made up for in a few sales) I could work with opticals to increase sales, patient satisfaction and reduce remakes, without having to travel! of course any Optiboarder intrested gets a HUGE discount!:D
