After several months of working for Polycore I kinda felt that this job was not for me. First of all I had been in contact with the folks at the Reno offices for over a year discussing this position. During that time the job had changed. Of course it had to. Alot happens in a year. In that time the general description of the position had evolved. The bad part was I really didn't know about this. I eventually was turned into a rep. When I first heard about the postion I didn't feel that the position ...
One of my last trips was one of my worst. I spent a week in Iowa and everything that could go wrong did go wrong! I got there with the impression that I would get a list of places to visit from a local lab. I was there for a whole day before a list arrived. When I recieved the list it was anything but accurate. Some of these places were no longer in business and others I just could not find! I spent days driving in the snow trying to figure out where the hell I was going. Polycore ...

They decided that since Linda was a regional rep with Signet that she could show me some of the ropes. That week was one of the most educational that I could remember! She introduced me to several of the labs nearby. I'll never forget ...

Some have sent me emails asking what happened. So I figure now that we have this blog feature I would spill my guts. Here's what I have to say about my experience with a lens manufacturer (pardon my spelling!:p) The company was GREAT!!!! Flat out was one of the best experiences I have had!! When ...
End of the week for me and time to look back at the week that has gone. Time to crack open a beer and look to the week ahead! Not much happened this week. About a month ago I mentioned to my boss that I would like to take all the technical information that I learned and apply it to my current job. I came up with a tiered system at work (good, better, best) with our current lens supplier (Signet Armorlite) and trained our Optometrist and Opticians about the benefits of advanced lens ...
