What's a "runtime error" and should I "debug" ( whatever that is!) I keep getting these messages on my new computer.

Thanks,
Judy Canty

Those are usually related to your browser settings and/or the page you are trying to access. What's the URL where you are getting this error?

In Internet Explorer...
Tools/Internet Options go to Advanced Tab then down list to Browsing TICK Disable Script Debuging...
That will stop it giving the message.

It happens on my Starpower.com homepage which also says it's Lycos. How do I find a URL? If I do that disable thing, will it screw up my computer?

The URL is the 'Address' that appears in the browser address window when you access a site.

for posting that question...it's happening on my 'puter and it's over a year old. My runtime error is from Symantec.

Thanks y'all! That message isn't showing up anymore AND I now know what a url is!

As noted in my post, I also have a runtime error...here goes...

Microsoft visual c++ runtime library

runtime error!

program c:\program files\common files\symantec shared\ccEvtMgr.exe

R6025
-pure virtual function call

How do I remove this error message? I tried what John said and it did not work. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks! Bob V.

Bob, have you tried searching the Symantec site?

No I haven't. It figures I would miss the obvious on this one.

Thanks for the link.

Many software company sites are getting a lot better at providing info like this. That's the first place I look when I have a problem. :)
