Review:
Jelly Sticky Pad by American Covers is a neat accessory to have as a last minute point of purchase item. This item is a creation of Poly-Stick Technology that uses electrostatic effect to hold sunglasses and cell phones on your dashboard. What is it? Jelly Sticky Pad is a soft gel like pad about 7 x 4 inches that is very pliable, sticky and very cool. It simply lies on the dashboard of your vehicle and molds itself to the contour. Place your sunglasses, cell phone, PDA or whatever on it and by “magic” the items hold in place. Even up to 45-degree angles or sudden stops, items will stay in place. The miracle is that there is no glue, no residue, nothing that stays behind to leave a mess. To rejuvenate the pad simply wash it with mild soap.

It is available in a convenient POP display of 12 pads with a demo pad attached. Colors are Graphite, Ruby Red, Blueberry. The Pads have a MSRP of 8.99. The only real downside is that the color mix is heavy on the Graphite and not the more vibrant colors.

I found this product at Vision Expo West and was totally blown away with how cool it was. The booth was very crowded and only a $50.00 minimum was required. Bought the two displays (12 each) and will be needing to reorder very shortly.

I highly recommend this product for that accessory item to stimulate conversations as well as add to your bottom line. American Covers number is 1-888-228-8987.

Lee,
How often do you/should you "rejuvenate" the pads. I know nothing lasts forever..............but do they show any signs of wearing out so far.

I have not heard from any customers regarding this issue but I did "rejuvenate" the demo pad on the display about a week ago. Just took an alchohol pad and wiped it clean. Amazing how "sticky " it got again. Remember that this was just sitting in the office collecting dust. My best guess would be one that was in a car could use a quick clean about once a month.

Lee,

Silly question ... The regular Sticky Pad looks less bulky. Any reason you went with carrying the Jelly Sticky Pads? Do they work better for eyewear?

No real reason except the colors are really cool with the Jelly pads. On my reorder however, I went with the regular Sticky pad. It is thinner (I don't know why). We found that most people wanted the black/graphite color and I was left with the blue and red pads far longer. Both products have done exceptionally well and should see a big surge with the Holidays approaching. After nearly a year, I still highly recommend this product.
