Beginning Oct. 1, mystery shoppers will visit or telephone 2,500 retailers and dispensaries across the United States each week to observe eyecare professionals’ recommendations of Transitions Lenses and reward them on-the-spot for outstanding presentations of the product as an everyday lens option.

If you don't mind me asking, 2,500 retailers out of how many total?

This is a neat idea!

Hi Jo,

I hope all is well with you.

From what I understand there are approximately 40,000 retail and dispensary locations across the nation.

Dear Jim and Pard,

I got a call from the mystery shopper this AM! I had read about this a couple of weeks back in either VM or 20-20. I didn't pay too close attention and had forgotten about it. The call came in from a lady saying she had a SV Rx and wanted some info. I asked her some questions and told it would be difficult to reccomend a specific lens without seeing the RX but told her that regardless of what the lens of choice was, she should consider Transitions as an option because of all that the lens had to offer.She wanted to know what, and I told her that not only did it change color but that it came with UV filter and scratchcoating. As soon as I finished she told me it was a great presentation and identified herself as the shopper. To aliviate my disappointment at not being able to sell her a pair of glasses she told me of the cash award!:D Although I would rather have had the sale, 25 bucks to answer the phone wasn't too shabby.....at least I won't get skunked today!

Hey!! lab reps get in on the action too! One of my accounts (who just switched over to my new place of employment :bbg: ) got mystery shopped and because she gave the name of the lab I work for I got myself an unexpected bonus in the mail yesterday. Think I will go get a pedicure :cool:
