TRANSITIONS BOOTH (#11015) BUILDS ANTICIPATION OF MYSTERY SHOPPER REWARDS
“Present Every Day” Mystery Shopper Program Begins Oct. 1
LAS VEGAS, Sept. 12, 2002 – The growing number of eyecare professionals that present Transitions® Lenses as everyday lenses to their patients may soon be rewarded with more than increased customer satisfaction. Transitions Optical, Inc. introduced its new “Present Every Day” Mystery Shopper Program at Vision Expo West today, building anticipation of the secret shoppers by inviting eyecare professionals to spin the “Are You Ready to Win?” wheel at the Transitions booth (#11015). The wheel introduced what the mystery shoppers will be looking for, and lucky spins were rewarded with prizes. Booth visitors were also registered for several grand prize drawings, including a DVD player.
Beginning Oct. 1, mystery shoppers will visit or telephone 2,500 retailers and dispensaries across the United States each week to observe eyecare professionals’ recommendations of Transitions Lenses and reward them on-the-spot for outstanding presentations of the product as an everyday lens option.
“We’ve been thrilled with the growing number of ECPs embracing the opportunity to recommend Transitions to clear lens wearers and wanted to find a fun way to recognize them while reinforcing the benefits of making this ‘everyday lens’ recommendation to their patients every day,” said Vanessa Johns, Transitions marketing director for North America. “Recommending photochromics to clear lens wearers is a very new dispensing approach, and we’re pleased to acknowledge those eyecare professionals who are welcoming this fresh thinking and are always striving to offer higher-value products to their patients.”
Exceptional recommendations will be rewarded on-the-spot with cash vouchers. Digital photos will be taken of select eyecare professionals giving award-winning in-person presentations, and some will be recognized more in-depth on the Transitions Web site.
Mystery Shopper Program Details
Mystery shoppers will be looking for eyecare professionals who introduce their patients to the many benefits of Transitions Lenses by doing the following:
Having Transitions in-store signage and demonstration tools visible and accessible
Asking patients, "Have you heard about Transitions Lenses?"
Discussing the benefits of Transitions Lenses versus regular lenses
Communicating key messages:

Transitions Lenses are the smart choice for everyday lenses
