In-Office Video Educates Consumers on Lens Options in Fun, Talk Show Format
VISION EXPO WEST, LAS VEGAS - (September 12, 2002) – Move over magazines. Essilor of America, Inc. is providing eye care professionals a fun and effective way to educate consumers about the latest lens technologies while their patients are in the reception area. The complimentary in-office video, “Vision Today,” features educational messages on progressive, anti-reflective and polycarbonate lenses via a talk show style format complete with studio audience, host, and special guest, Varilux® Boomer Image spokesperson Diane Irons.
“It is our hope that this entertaining video will prompt patients to discuss the best options for their personal vision needs with their optometrists and opticians,” said John Carrier, senior vice president of marketing for Essilor of America. “Patients should be able to identify with the people in the video and begin to understand how lens solutions such as Varilux® and Crizal® enable patients to enhance their vision and cosmetic appeal while also reducing eyestrain.”
