ESSILOR OF AMERICA NAMES LESLIE WILEMON AS VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Experienced Global HR Leader to Help Guide Employee Relations Strategy
DALLAS – (August 21, 2002) – Leslie Wilemon, a veteran human resources executive for several prominent international companies, has been named vice-president of Human Resources for Essilor of America. Having led HR efforts at Trilogy Software most recently, Wilemon will be providing strategic vision and leadership for Essilor’s ongoing HR initiatives.
“Leslie has a significant depth of experience in all facets of HR,” said Hubert Sagnières, president of Essilor of America. “Her expertise includes strategic planning, staffing, organizational development, compensation and benefits packages for organizations whose employee populations were as high as 25,000. Leslie will be a tremendous asset to Essilor as we continue to support the 7,500 employees who enable us to be the industry leader with superior lens technology such as Varilux® premier progressive lenses and Crizal® anti-reflective lenses.”
Wilemon’s background includes a unique blend of HR experience with global organizations, acquisitions, start-up companies and joint ventures. She has held HR leadership positions with Frito Lay (Pepsico), Nortel and EDS.
