Might one ask what the purpose of a spoiler is exactly?

I, like John, cheated and saw the code but I don't get it.

The purpose is to hide the text until someone highlights it using their cursor. It can be used for Q&As (the 'A" would be in the spoiler text) riddles and anything else where you want to person to do something extra to see the answer.
