Vistakon CE credits

I just took a few tests on Vistacon website.
I am an optician and as all of us need CE credits to renew my license and ABO/NCLE.
After compleeting them i realised that they are approved for most of the Optometric and Physicians Boards and NCLE but not Board of Ophthalmic Dispensing. I emailed vistacon but did not get any answer for 3 days.Does anybody else tried those tests and can i still use the credits for my Ophthalmic Dispensing renewal ?

Haven't you notice that for the past few decades the CL companies have been answering you: "Yes doctor, will there be anything else." Prior to this time it would have been concidered unethical for a doctor to be selling optical merchandise. All companies producing optical products are now geared to physician/optometrist . We opticians are just remnants and office help. CLAO used to lick our boots for advise, now the situation is reversed.

I did the same thing about 15 years ago. I actually signed up for a Dow Corning seminar on silicone contacts that was given in Williamsburg Virginia. When I got there I found that I was the only optician among about 300 optometrist. It was a great seminar but later I found that my mistake in thinking that an educational meeting that would satisfy the requirements of the other O's didn't meet credit standards with our licensing board. Lesson well learned (check with the boards before committing to an education program).
