On the main discussion forum page when I am logged in it says I have 0 private messages and 6 total messages in my folder. I checked all my folders back as long as it will let me go and no messages come up at all. Can you tell me where might the 6 messages be?

Check your 'Sent mail' box. The messages there count as part of the total.
