The statutes for renewal of an optician's license in Connecticut require that you obtain seven continuing education credits approved by the ABO or NCLE during the year immediately preceeding your license renewal period.

If your sole purpose for attending a seminar is to obtain continuing education credits, make sure that the speakers and the courses are ABO/NCLE approved for credits. Credits cannot be issued retroactively for courses not previously approved.

Be aware that not all courses are approved for CEC's in CT

The continuing education requirements for license renewal in Connecticut are located on our website

Hi Skip!

It is a good thing you brought CEC's up; thanks for the reminder! I actually emailed the SAO before posting this and you are correct. The invitation is for a get together of all optical related people the day before Opticians Day! It is more of a celebration of opticians than educational.
-SAOIt is great to see you posting here on OptiBoard!
