Each year I attend the Vison Expo in Ny and in the trade mags I see adds that state that companies will buy your left over or overstocked CL. Has anybody dealt with these people? Is it legal? How do they pay?

We all have overstocked lens ( not picked up/wrong order/opto Rx change etc) so is this a possible way of recouping the cost? Right now in my office I have 14 boxes of OS lens. This is about $300.00 hanging around doing nothing.

Exchanging or crediting with my suppliers is OK but shipping and boxing cuts into the final profit.

Any ideas.

I sold some once, but never again. It was about 15 years ago, and they really low ball you.

We stopped stocking anything but trials years ago. It has worked out just fine that way. If we need something quick we can get it, we get good discounts and never anything to get rid of. Our patients don't mind at all. We have trials if it's an emergency and they always get a pair with their exam.
