In case any opticians on this board are looking attend a refraction course, the course offered by the South Eastern Opticians and Dr. McDonald held this weekend in Atlanta was wonderful.

Like any class I've attended, you sometimes sit there in amazement at the effort the students put into arriving for the class yet do everything but pay attention when they attend. Dr McDonald was a very gracious host and answered every question, often times more then once.

I would highly recommend the class to anyone thinking of learning to refract, it was a wonderful crash course.
Thanks again to all that helped put the class together http://www.optiboard.com/forums/images/icons/wavey.gif

of taking some classes from Dr McDonald at the ROATx convention in San Antonio a couple of months ago. The classes were excellent and I would reccommend that if you get the chance to take a class from him that you do it.

It was encouraging to see a room full of Opticians actually giving their undivided attention to something other than the buffet!!

I hope you're all having fun and making money!!

I attended one lecture given by Dr. McDonald, but could tell you that not only was he a great speaker, but he was a hit with the l;adies with that smooth southern draw. If memory serves me right he went to dinner that night with two gorgeous women on his arms. That's one classy guy and I can't wait for him to be in my neck of the woods.

I believe you and your lovely wife joined us at that dinner, and we'll do that again some time. The classes in Atlanta were a lot of fun, and we will do them again next year in an expanded format. I am sorry we had to turn so many away, but with the limiited equipment, we could only handle so many. I am going to be doing additional refraction classes around the country soon, and will post information as soon a firmed up.
