What's your thinking about Frames Direct? I just checked their Ray Ban collection. They are offering current frames from the Big Boys. A Luxottica sales rep told me that they don't offer current frames to companies like Frames Direct. They sure do offer them. I will never give Frames Direct a penny of my money for their huge catalog.

What's your opinion about Internet eyeglasses that offer a precise fitting for even progressive. LOL. What's our industry coming to today?

Their website is better than many of the manufacturers, in terms of size/color availability. We use it as a reference resource.

I'm sure Lux doesn't sell them frames because that would hurt the independents, and LUX is the only frame company out there that still looks out for the little guys.:rolleyes: (Yeah right!)

Does anyone know what Framesdirect.com return rate is for their glasses? I would guess it's very high. I've had a few customers come in with progressives made in their new glasses from Framesdirect and they weren't even close on their fitting heights. I truly believe that there is no way to have any accuracy buying online.

For catalogues returns are generally around 2 percent of all dissatisfied customers.

People do not like the hassle of returns.
