My mother started an animal rescue group, S.A.I.N.T. (Saving Animals In Need Together). My sister went down to CO. to visit and was part of an animal rescue. Here's a picture of here with a news camera and a dog saved from a puppy mill. She looks ****** off!! I have to say I'm very proud of her and my mother and step father!! If you are ever willing, I'm sure S.A.I.N.T. would appreciate donated time, resources, pet supplies and adoption. I've seen some of the pictures my mom has sent (can't post 'em here) and the things these people put these animals through is disgusting. Just think death, rot and starvation and you get an idea!

props to your family.
when I watch Animal Cops on TV I just wish they could just shoot some of these people. The truly unfortunate thing is that in many states animals are just property and the punishments are just a slap on the wrist.

Here is the web site www.saintanimalrescue.org (http://www.saintanimalrescue.org) If you look in the section How Saint Got Started there are photos of what happened down the road from my mother. For the hack of it I contacted Animal Planet about SAINT to see if they would ever feature them. I'm sure if my family had their way animal rescues would go down like a SWAT raid, only the owners would get shot right in the face!!

In my new position I am doing some policy making. Last week they wanted me to go on a bear relocation thing. See we have a huge bear problem, and there was on trapped in the cage. The plan is they drug the bear, tag it, and relocate it. It helps protect the bear from being hunted for food, protects the community from the bear, and hopes to set up life for it away from the community.
Anyways, long story short, I got to do the tagging of the ears.

I help out some with a group we've had here for a few years.

Their idea is to build a no-kill shelter, and finally they have done so. After years of plastic collection tubs in every convenience store, and pleas for donations, they have finally gotten their new place done. Of course, the NIMBYs have raised a ruckus about the location.
We have seven cats now because we've taken in so many strays.

I bet you are so proud of your mother, sister and FIL. I hope they get the recognition they deserve so that they may continue their efforts. :)
