1.6 Polarized Progressives

I got an ad today for 1.6 polarized progressives. Apparently they come in both grey and brown. Anybody have any experience with these? The same ad showed 6 or 8 different color sv polarized colors like blue, green, orange ect. finding color polarized lenses was always tricky, the ad indicates they will be readily avil from most bigger surface labs.

Decent products and hard (to near impossible) to find semi-finished lenses in an array of colors and designs. The short corridor lens is extremely similar to the ellipse in design.
Could be Bel-optix also.

Are uniquely brilliant in screwing up an order so ask your patients for a 4 - 6 week wait period and use the explaination: " It's a special order lens" but know that your lab will have to reorder the lenses 3x because of quality control...Then just use Allen at Ice-tech because he has a 1.67 polarized lens and for poly and cr39 he can do fun colors as well - in an un-distorted 8 base wrap for a 67Ed on a pt. with a 54PD.

But he'll probably take 3 weeks....

The polarized 1.60 progressive lenses mentioned at the start of the thread are the iRx (Polaroid) Pro design. The lens is available in Gray C and Brown C colors. There are 10 additional polarized color choices available in the same progressive design (iRx PRO) in a choice of 1.56 or CR-39 plastic lens materials.

I've seen these specs but I'm looking for more, especially in terms of which product is which (one pal is listed as '1.56 Polar plastic' - doesn't say if it's Polar Pal, Shorty or OptiPol - I've literally spent countless hours trying to figure out their specs and am done wasting my time) and also looking for any reasonable level of data on the iRx products. It isn't that I can't find data on their products, its that most of it is confusing, and in the case of their website, I'm afraid - outdated (Copyright on website is 2002 - I want good data, not just data).

I would love to just have someone from there take the time to work with me. Pete Hanlin has been very kind in offering what he can, but I need someone directly from SLC to make it happen.

As always though, I really appreciate your assistance and willingness to spend your time and energy to help out - you are the tick, tick, tick - BOMB!!!

Please disclose the whole story. Your Rx was outside our range and I said I thought I could make a lens that will work but it will take some time. You also specified 1.60 42 abbe value. I did get your Rx calculated in 1.67 but it required a different set of calculations and lens blanks to make it in 1.60. If I recall it is about a -12.00 sphere and -2.00 cyl with a 3.75 add.

Yes I think we will be successful but it was not an off the shelf item.

Sorry Allen, that was during a lapse in communications and you had mentioned that maybe the job was lost. Add in having a bad day that day and well... Sorry anyway.:hammer:
I will go on record that you have worked very hard on these lately and I fully realize how difficult my Rx is. In fact almost the only lens choice I have is Hoya ECP in 1.70 index. Absolutely ZERO OTHER freeform makers have refused my Rx due to out of range.And it is a 2.75 add.:D
Unfortunately (or fortunately however you look at it) my cataracts
are progressing at a very rapid rate so I probably won't get to wear them too awful long before I get surgery.
THEN I can get some really *****in' glasses as I'm going to be shooting for around a -2.00 after surgery.:D
