I'm not sure where to post this as I originally had it in the wrong forum but I'm in need of some expert advice.

I just bought a pair of Dior sunglasses on eBay - Escrime SESMD - they arrived in perfect condition but in cleaning the lenses, I noticed one of them was loose and if you pull hard enough, it can pop out where the lense connects with the bridge. When I mean loose, I mean it moves from side to side a few mm. I've attached a photo:

I took it to my local optical store but they weren't sure how to fix them as it's a bit of an odd problem.

I contacted the eBay store and they told me to send them back and that they would repair it. Is this a good idea or should I just leave the problem and hope they aren't too flimsy.

What is your professional opinion? Would really appreciate some expert advice. Thank you!

My "professional" opinion is that you have bought a knock-off.

Moves a few mm? Yikes. I'd say that's a problem. Can probably be fixed though- the temporal side of the frame which the lens is riveted to only on the lateral side needs to be bent inwards towards the bridge a miniscule amount. The lenses are held in place by the two attachment pins (screws) on the side and are 'braced' on the raised bridge- needs to have the tension increased just enough to 'hold' the lens in place. Definitely return them to where you purchased them- you'll end up with greater problems with the lenses if you don't.
