Does anyone have a chart on what to do if you tint does not come out right? Like Gray comes out to red or to blue. I had a chart until our office had a fire and I have not found one since. You can send it to my E-Mail rls@ratcliffeyecare.com thanks for any help you can give.

Call BPI or wherever you get your tints. I got mine years ago and have it somewhere but who knows where. I you know colors it's common sense, if you don't you need the chart.

It is not that easy.............charts give you the colors based on CR39 lenses, with all the new materials in the lens field you have to know what material you are trying to tint.

Most high index lenses when tinting black or grey will come out blue. This is due that the material absorb blue faster and more than the other basic colors of the mix.

I can not speak for other dye suppliers but in our line we use a brown to achieve a nice black color.

Of course you can take those more difficult to tint lenses and dye them with the basic colors to achieve the perfect shade you want.

I recommend going to BPI's website www.callbpi.com (http://www.callbpi.com). It is all there
