I don't know of anything that will work on glass, Even the AR strippers that would probably work, will etch the glass.


Now that I think about it some, you might try a soft muslin buff and very low pressure.

If the front surface is a sphere - fine and polish in a hand pan.

This depends on the type of mirror coating that is on the glass lens. It is a metal mirror or Dielectric type? Metal mirrors can be removed using a cold mirror removal mixture. If it is a Dielectric type then you will not be able to remove it.

Very simple......................you will have to get the AR Stripper for glass from the people that invented the AR stripper back in 1984-85. It is all there and available. http://www.optiboard.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

Take a close look at what surface the mirror is on. Years ago glass mirrored polarized lenses were available with the mirror on the inside of the cover lens. If it is one of those lenses it isn't going to be able to be removed!
