I am preparing for the ABO-Advanced test. Any suggestions as to what would be the best calculator to purchase? I know I need a scientific one, but which is best for our formula needs? My old high school one just ain't cutting it. Thanks.

I would not get a reverse polish notation calculator. I hate those, but hey that is me.

Good question! I'm lost when it comes to calculators and would love to have a good one with me for study and work.

They provide you with a calculator during the test it's a texas instrument if I remember correctly and it's not programmable, but to be honest with you I would hate to be without a TI-85 or better the large screen and variables show the multiple steps and hold calculated values for later use. Also programing them is very easy, so you could put all your most used calculations in them for quick access.

I assume then that you can not bring your own calculator into the test?
