Look for the:
1.) TOPS book by Michael DiSanto.
2.) System for Ophthalmic Dispensing by Brooks/Borish.
These two will give you just about everything you need. The System book is a fantastic reference. Most Opticians consider it the Optical Bible.

Good luck and ask if you have any specific optical questions. There are some great minds to pick here.

National Academy of Opticianry has all mentioned. They offer a nifty book I recommend called the ODR (Optical Dispensing Review) with practice questions and answers. It is also available on CD. It is a great little review book that is affordable and great even for us old timers to to review basics. www.nao.org (http://www.nao.org) . I also recommend the math review.(I may be biased as I taught their ABO review for several years.)

Didn't you teach the old Masters Review also?

I have seen a website that has a video course for ABO certification.
www.goldeneagletraining.com (http://www.goldeneagletraining.com) might want to look at it.

Don't they send some suggested material with your registration for the boards? I am sure they do. I studied that 8 cassatte tape and workbook thing for the abo and ncle. I can't remember the name of the guy, but I passed them both on the first try. Good Luck to you.
