Review:
The hooker pads provided to me by OMS Optochemicals are used as a medium between the edging pad and a slick coated AR lens such as Alize or Teflon. The pads do a great job of stopping slippage and rotation of lenses while being edged, I have had zero since using the pads. I have had the same two pads for going on 2 months now and the fact that they are reusable is a blessing. I have also used various other products to accomplish the same thing (for example the rikki pads). I personally like the hooker pads better because they are softer, therefore conform to the curve a little better and they are reusable.

Would you purchase this product or other products from this company based on your experience with this product?:
I would purchase this product in the future, however becase the product is reusable I don’t see myself purchaseing any in the near future. I would purchase other products from this company in the future.

I have no financial interest in the company who makes and/or distributes the product I am reviewing or in any of their competitors.

Are you eding a high index? Tell me more about your lenses. Is it super-hydrophobic coatings or just hydro coatings. Also who is doing the coatings? What is the cost of the hooker pads? For something to be reusable it must be very expensive. I have seen different Film pads for as much as $225 for 1000 pads.

I edge Alize, Teflon, Synergy with this pad and it works great, it reminds me of the stuff you can get as protection for a camera's screen. Contact a member on this board "Chris Ryser" for more info.

I have talked to Chris about other items just not the Hooker pads. I'll give him a call in sunny FL.

This just confirms that every lab should have plenty of Hookers, and re-use them when they can.
