I'm doing an article for VCPN on frame materials and need to find some stainless steel frames released within the past 6 months. This has turned out harder than I thought! Any help would be greatly appreciated:)

The reps would know. Contact your locals.

Clear Vision has a stainless steel line. I think Rayban came out with stainless, so try Luxottica. Try the Adidas line, (Silhouette) has stainless. Also try Charmant.
Did a search on Vision Monday's site:
Smilen Eyewear Launches American Steel, Adds to I-Style, Sun Ranges (http://www.visionmonday.com/articles/details.asp?ID=15412)
Volume Number: 20:04 Issue: 3/27/2006
Good luck!

I just glommed onto this stainless steel dude (http://img139.imageshack.us/img139/1359/snapshot20061028025341ff1.png) from AOYAMA USA using OptiSearch.
One problem - it doesn't say WHEN this "new release" was actually released.
But there is an email address if you would like to make an inquiry:
mailbox@optisearch.com
At the bottom of the OptiSearch (http://www.optisearch.com/) home page, there is a New Releases option that allows you to select from a menu of frame materials including "stainless steel", and then to select ONE from a long list of frames manufacturers.

Because I'm not profiling a specific company in this one there are no contacts! I'm not a frame person, have been a lab rat for quite a while, more into lenses. He learned his lesson on this one, when it comes to frames I'm useless:hammer: . Next one will be lens related.
Donn,
Give me a call or email I would be happy to help you. I am sure we can supply you with the info and support you need.
