Smart Card Marketing Systems, which manages the Eye Savings Plus program offering discounts on eyewear, has completed a partial acquisition of The Lens Factory acquisition, as announced in mid-June. For the next two years, this American company retains the rights to acquire the remaining 50 per cent of the Ontario-based optical services laboratory owned by Leon Kurtz.

Oh brother, here comes the beginning of the American marketing whiz bangs looking to get a foothold in the densely populated Ontario Canada market....some 10 million strong. This not a good thing!! This group of thugs tries to market optical plans direct to the public and promises the glasses at the cheapest prices.....if they buy from joe shmoe optical......it guarantees the consumer will end up with JUNK eyewear and no one makes a buck. Walmart already is charging less than the government pays us for,,, if your on welfare!! How dumb is that.:hammer:
