I heard a rumor that Signature was being looked at for takeover from Luxottica or some other large group.

True, false, maybe?

Anyone else hear this?

Don't think anyone really wants them. They had some good stuff about eight years ago.

A Lux taker over? I say no. I don't think Signature has anything that Lux needs.

what lux needs(wants) is 100% market share so yes buy all the competition. But no I haven't heard anything about the sale but all I know is what I read.

ya, but who says that Signature would or would not last. Plus, that is illegal to have 100 percent market share.

I don't know. If it looks like the company is trying to develop on tier of the marketing channel, I think the government tends to step in.

Either way, why wouldn't Lux just squeeze them out of business? Seems a lot easier to me.

It does not matter which way it's done, either way they would be no more competitor..................and that is the ultimate goal of the large corporations.

I am hearing here on the board that many items are now exclusive for one or a few opticians in one area..................what do you think is going to happen when the corporations are done with takeovers and squeezeouts?

At least they have more original products than Lux (or Safilo, Marchon, Zyloware...).
