I recently joined People of Vision, and auxillary support foundation for Prevent Blindness Indiana. We are getting ready for the annual EyeBall a gala to celebrate our Person of Vision for the year, Dr. Frank Price Jr.
As part of the gala, an auction is to be held in conjunction with Ebay to raise money for Prevent Blindness Indiana.
We currently are in need items to be donated for our auction. If any of my fellow optiboarders can be of assistance, it will be greatly appreciated.
All proceeds will go directly to fund programs in the following areas:
vision screenings for children to prevent loss of sight from common eye problems like strabismus and amblyopia.
adult vision screenings to help find and prevent vision loss from devastating eye diseases such as glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy and AMD.
glasses through the Gift of Vision program
Surgery for the uninsured
Public education to promote better vision health for all Americans.
scientific research to find the causes and cure of blindness.
advocacy for public health policies that improve access to eye care and promote cost-effective blindness prevention efforts nationwide.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
