VSP Conducts Survey in Canada
------------------------------
Vision Service Plan, the largest managed care vision plan in the United States, is conducting research in Canada. The company surveyed a cross section of optometrists with questions about practice trends, legislation and third party coverage. It is not clear if VSP has serious intent to enter the Canadian market, which has not had an appetite for managed health care programs. While VSP has its origins with Optometry, it is also a source of controversy in the US concerning fee schedules, credentialing and its corporate business strategies. CAO will investigate and monitor this development further. The website for VSP is www.vsp.com (http://www.vsp.com/)

We have to do what we have to do to keep these jerks out.

We know that eventually they will just be in the chains.

Call around and create awareness.

They won't just be in the chains, they will own one. Look what Davis Vision has done with buying Eye Masters, (and Viva I might add...)
